Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the 121st episode of his 'Mann Ki Baat' program, focusing on the Pahalgam attack and assuring justice for the affected families. He confidently stated, 'The entire world stands with 1.4 billion Indians in our fight against terrorism. I reassure the grieving families that justice will be served.'
During the address, PM Modi expressed his deep sorrow, stating, 'As I speak to you today, my heart is heavy. The atrocity that occurred in Pahalgam on April 22 has deeply hurt every citizen of our nation. Regardless of their state or spoken language, every Indian feels the pain of those who lost their loved ones. I know that every heartbeat of our citizens is burning with anger at the images of this terrorist attack.'
'Desperation of Enemies Shown...'
PM Modi continued, 'The attack in Pahalgam showcases the frustration and cowardice of those who harbor terrorism. At a time when Kashmir was experiencing peace, schools and colleges were alive with activity, construction was booming, democracy was strengthening, and tourism was soaring, the enemies of Jammu and Kashmir could not bear it.'
The PM declared, 'Terrorists and their masterminds want to destroy Kashmir again, leading to such elaborate conspiracies. In this battle, the unity of 1.4 billion Indians is our greatest strength and the foundation for our decisive fight against terrorism. We must strengthen our collective resolve to confront this challenge.'
PM Modi also spoke about the global support India has received, saying, 'There is an international outcry against this terrorist act. I have received calls, letters, and messages from global leaders condemning this heinous attack, offering condolences to the bereaved families.'
'The World Stands with India'
The PM emphasized, 'The entire world stands with our fight against terrorism. I assure the grieving families that they will receive justice, and justice indeed will be delivered. The culprits and conspirators behind this attack will face the harshest response.'
PM Modi shifted to commemorating a great scientist, saying, 'Just two days ago, we lost the eminent scientist Dr. K. Kasturirangan. Our discussions often revolved around the talents of Indian youth, modern education, and space science. His contributions to science, education, and India's space endeavors will be fondly remembered. Under his leadership, ISRO gained new recognition, and many satellites used by India were launched under his guidance. His emphasis on innovation and his vision for new learning opportunities are immensely inspiring for the young generation.'
Tribute to Dr. K. Kasturirangan
'Dr. K. Kasturirangan played a pivotal role in drafting the new National Education Policy. His forward-thinking on education tailored for 21st-century needs is invaluable. His selfless service and contributions to nation-building are unforgettable. I pay my heartfelt tribute to Dr. K. Kasturirangan.'
PM Modi commented on the recent devastating earthquake in Myanmar, 'You must have seen severe images from last month's earthquake in Myanmar, where lives were at stake every moment. India promptly initiated Operation Brahma, sending Air Force aircraft and Navy ships for immediate assistance. An Indian team established a field hospital, assessed infrastructural damage, and provided essential supplies like blankets, tents, sleeping bags, medicines, and food. The Indian assistance was greatly appreciated by the locals.'
