The footage also depicts a JCB machine being encircled and attacked. The driver of the JCB is seen fleeing the scene. Several vehicles can be seen trying to escape, hitting people in the process, resulting in injuries and one fatality.
Authorities have accused Sarpanch Iqbal Chippa of illegally issuing a land lease to another party. People associated with Iqbal Chippa were allegedly undertaking construction on the land under a fraudulent lease. Some individuals claimed rightful ownership of the land. Gunfire erupted during the altercation, creating chaos at the scene. The Jain community, the actual landowners, have distanced themselves from the dispute.
