In Uttar Pradesh, a new driving license will now arrive at your home within just 7 days, facilitated by the transport department. Earlier, over a million licenses could not be printed due to a chip shortage, but with the resumption of chip supply, they are now being dispatched directly to homes.
Due to the war in Ukraine, the supply of chips was disrupted, halting the issuance of millions of driving licenses by the Uttar Pradesh Transport Department. However, with the complete restoration of chip supply, licenses are now being regularly delivered to homes.
Applicants are receiving their licenses directly at their home address within 7 days of approval, ensuring a hassle-free process.
According to Transport Commissioner Chandra Bhushan Singh, the department issued 1 million driving licenses in April and May, leading to the current speedy deliveries in June, reaching applicants' homes within a week.
With the replenishment of chips, the waiting list for licenses has been effectively eliminated, allowing licenses to reach holders' homes in just 7 days post-approval.
Enjoy the convenience of having your license delivered promptly at your doorstep, a significant positive change in service efficiency.
