Tragic Road Rage: Law Student Shot Dead Amid Overtaking Squabble in UP

In Bhadohi, UP, a horrific act of violence took the life of a law student. The student, along with his brother, was en route to the railway station on a motorbike when car passengers opened fire, resulting in one brother's death.

Police have dispatched the body for post-mortem and are actively investigating the shocking incident that has shaken the local community. The crime occurred in the Purushottampur area within the Aurai police jurisdiction.

According to police, around 6 a.m., student Amit Umar Vaishya and his brother were heading to Madho Singh railway station when a car overtook them, leading to an altercation. It escalated quickly when one of the car passengers began shooting.

The police have formed six teams to apprehend the murderer.

The bullet struck Amit Umar on the face, resulting in immediate death. After the episode, the culprits fled the scene. Upon arrival, police officers conducted an investigation and formed six teams to unravel the case, claiming that vital clues have been uncovered and are guiding the investigation.

Bhadohi's Additional SP Tejvir Singh reported that at about 6:00 a.m., two bike riders were shot by car passengers after an overtaking dispute near Purushottampur intersection. The injured was taken to CHC (Community Health Centre) where he was declared deceased.

The victim's uncle, Murari Chand, recounted that after overtaking their vehicle, the car passengers shot the young man, a law student in the midst of his LLB studies.
