The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (UP STF) achieved a significant breakthrough when they apprehended notorious criminal Sushil Rai in Ghaziabad. Rai, with a bounty of Rs 1 lakh on his head by Bihar Police, had evaded capture for some time.
According to the UP STF, Sushil Rai, son of the late Ramsharan Rai from Banhara village, Teghra police station, Begusarai district, was finally caught by the STF team in a vegetable market alley in Vardhamanpuram, Loni (Ghaziabad district).
Information received by the STF team from PTI indicates that Sushil Rai, a resident of the Begusarai district in Bihar, is an active member of the infamous Tiger Gang. Police have been seeking him for serious offenses including murder and robbery for the past two years.
Legal action was registered against him at the police station Teghra in Begusarai district under crime number 253/22, pursuant to IPC Sections 396, 27 Arms Act, and crime number 256/23, under IPC Sections 307, 120B, 34, and 27 Arms Act.
A reward of Rs 1,00,000/- has been announced by the Bihar Police for the capture of notorious criminal Sushil Rai.
