UP Police Exam:

The mastermind behind the exam paper leaks for UP Police recruitment, Rajeev Nayan Mishra, is now in custody. Interrogation revealed his involvement in not just the constable recruitment but also in leaking papers for the Review Officer and Assistant Review Officer exams. Mishra is pegged as the prime facilitator in these breaches of examination integrity.

After meticulous questioning, the coaching centre operator who rallied candidates for the RO/ARO exams, Amit Singh, has been detained. A resident of Gonda, Singh divulged during his STF interrogation that he once ran a commerce coaching hub in Lucknow. It was then that he crossed paths with the scheme's architect, Rajeev Nayan Mishra.

Amit admitted to fronting Rajeev Nayan a substantial fee of 20 lakh rupees for tutoring services for the TGT exam in 2020/21. Since then, he has been instrumental in orchestrating candidate availability for various recruitment exams.

The dismissed UP Police constables, Arun Kumar Singh and Saurabh Shukla, arrested in the paper leak case, implicated Amit Singh in their testimonies. Rajeev Nayan had sold the RO/ARO exam papers to a Dr. Sharad Singh for 25 lakh rupees.

Rajeev had approached Amit Singh for provisioning candidates for the Police recruitment exams, alongside those for RO/ARO. The plan was comprehensive, ensuring the aspirants received answers in carefully orchestrated settings in both Lucknow and Prayagraj. Dr. Sharad Singh had agreed to a deal with an upfront payment of 15 lakh rupees per candidate, with the remainder to be paid upon successful completion of the scam.

All candidates were escorted to Arogyam Hospital, owned by Rajeev Nayan Mishra in Naini Prayagraj, to receive the leaked paper information. Others were shepherded to a spot near Plasio Mall in Lucknow where the information was disseminated over a two-hour period. Dr. Sharad Singh was instrumental in getting the candidates to the examination centres.

For the UP Police recruitment exam, Amit Singh arranged nearly 40 candidates, ferried to Rewa by Rajeev Nayan's close associate Pushkar Pandey. On the 16th of February, all aspirants were briefed at the Shiv Shakti Resort in Rewa. On the same day, under demands from Rajeev Nayan for payment, Amit Singh transferred 5 lakh rupees from his cousin's account.

The transaction was part of the pre-arranged fee for the RO/ARO exam papers, with the remainder due later. Present at the Rewa resort were Rajeev Nayan Mishra, Kamenshwar Maurya, Pushkar Pandey, and several others. Amit Singh, apprehended in this operation, has previously served jail time for his involvement in a CTET paper leak back in January 2023 at Kankarkheda police station in Meerut.
