The UP Police Constable Recruitment Exam 2024 has commenced today under tight security. The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board is organizing the examination in two shifts from August 23 to August 31. The first session runs from 10 AM to 12 PM, and the second from 3 PM to 5 PM. Before the first shift began, candidates underwent rigorous checking. Even those with thread bracelets on their wrists had them cut off, and shoes were removed for inspection at the exam center gates. Entry was granted only after biometric and thorough checks.

The UP Police Constable Recruitment Examination will be conducted on August 23, 24, 25, 30, and 31 over a total of 10 shifts. Approximately 2,616 candidates will appear in each shift. On the first day, around 960,000 candidates will take the constable recruitment exam across 1,174 test centers in 67 districts of Uttar Pradesh. To ensure the exam's sanctity, nine static magistrates have been deployed. A district-level control room has been set up at the cyber station to keep an eye on proceedings.

To prevent any irregularities in the constable recruitment exam, CCTV cameras are being utilized for surveillance. All exam centers are equipped with these cameras, and each center has its control room. These are linked to the main district control room, monitored by the state control room. Additional district magistrate-level officers are stationed at control rooms for supervision. Officials can observe the live footage from CCTV cameras on their phones. The police will keep a watchful eye on candidates involved in previous exam malpractices or caught cheating in the last 12 years. Each exam center will have a mixed staff, half from the center itself and the other half from different schools or colleges. Sector magistrates will deliver the papers to the centers, where police personnel will also be present.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is being employed to identify dummy candidates in the exam. Candidates' photos are cross-verified using AI, and old photos are matched with Aadhaar photos to ensure no discrepancies. Separate checks are in place to detect Bluetooth devices.

Any cheating during the exam will be prosecuted under the new law. The Yogi government has introduced the UP Public Examination Ordinance 2024. Offenders found guilty of leaking papers could face life imprisonment and a fine of up to 10 million rupees.

All candidates arriving at the exam centers will undergo KYC verification. Biometric attendance and Aadhaar cards will be used to verify candidates. This time, to ensure no misconduct or cheating, the civil police are joined by the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) and Special Task Force (STF).
