Voting is underway for by-elections in nine assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh. Amidst this, SP President and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav held a press conference where he directly attacked the BJP, accusing them of electoral misconduct and criticizing officials. Akhilesh stated, 'BJP wishes to win this by-election not through votes, but through fraud. I firmly believe that the outcome will favor us, but the court's decision tomorrow will be against them (the officials).'

Akhilesh expressed hope that the Election Commission would take action against dishonest officials. He accused the BJP of inciting chaos, noting that their own voters weren't participating. He warned that all jobs, PF, pensions, and societal respect would be at stake. 'Their lives will be ruined by the stamp of dishonesty,' he said. 'I have spoken with the Chief Election Commissioner, and a list of corrupt officials has been requested. Especially in the Mirapur Assembly, I will investigate officials who have confiscated ID cards.'

'Delhi and Their Deputy Are Against Them'

Taking a dig at CM Yogi Adityanath, Akhilesh emphasized, 'The public is against them, even their own people are. Delhi and the deputy are against them.'

Addressing Dalit girl’s murder in Karhal and related SP controversies, Akhilesh highlighted, 'The Karhal seat is a historic seat won by significant votes. BJP has the DM and SP at their disposal, yet it’s unclear who is engaging in deceit.'

'BJP Exerts Pressure Out of Fear of Losing'

He asserted, 'The BJP is pressuring the administration to engage in deceit to avoid losing. I urge voters to remain steadfast and cast their votes. The Election Commission has given strict instructions that police cannot check IDs anywhere. However, SP's voters are being prevented from voting.'

'SP Workers Are Collecting Evidence'

'They are losing, which is why voting is being hindered,' Akhilesh claimed. 'In several Mirapur booths, presiding officers themselves are casting votes. The public and their own allies are turning against them, pushing the BJP further into dishonest practices. Both Delhi and their deputy oppose them because their throne is shaking.' He vowed, 'The names and designations of police officers engaged in misconduct are being documented. No one will be spared. Although this election's result will be in our favor, tomorrow the court’s verdict will be against them.'
