In Amethi, UP, Union Minister Smriti Irani's new house is ready. On February 22, Smriti Irani carried out the housewarming with her husband Zubin Irani according to customs and rituals. Adorned with Vedic chants, Smriti Irani entered her brand new home with a sacrosanct pot atop her head. Prior to this, various rites including worship and havan were performed.

According to Hindu traditions, the Union Minister and MP for Amethi made her inaugural entrance to her new abode. After the worship, she first circled the house with the sanctified pot on her head. She then entered the home with her husband Zubin Irani. A large number of her supporters, BJP members, and locals were present during the event. Before this, both Smriti Irani and her husband participated in the havan-pujan ritual.

The new residence of Smriti Irani is situated in the village of Gauriganj in Medan Mawai. As part of today's celebration, a festive meal commenced at two in the afternoon, inviting thousands from the constituency.

What is Smriti Irani's house like?

It is worth noting that during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Smriti Irani promised the public that she would soon build a house in the district. Consequently, she purchased land in Medan Mawai in Gauriganj. The groundbreaking and construction process began with her son's rites. Now that the house is completed, today marked the official housewarming.

It's known that Smriti Irani, in 2021, purchased 11 'biswa' (a unit of area) of land for building her house. With the house now built, there's an atmosphere of excitement among her supporters and fellow BJP members.

In fact, Smriti Irani had promised the people of Amethi that they would not need to go to Delhi to meet their MP. She committed to building her house in Amethi to listen to the public's issues. This commitment led to the initiation of the house construction by Smriti Irani.
