In the revered Mahakaleshwar Temple of Madhya Pradesh, a dire mishap unfolded on Monday morning during the sacred Bhasma Aarti, as flames engulfed the inner sanctum. Reportedly, five priests and four pilgrims suffered burns. It is said that the fire erupted post the application of gulal. With the festival of Dhulendi, a protective cover had been placed, which caught fire and collapsed onto the congregants. All the injured have been admitted to the district hospital and are reported to be out of danger.
An Investigation to Be Conducted
Ujjain's Collector, Neeraj Kumar Singh, informed that the fire incident during the ongoing Bhasma Aarti worship has led to 13 individuals suffering burns. The injured have been hospitalized, receiving ongoing treatment, and an investigation will be launched. Initially, the investigation will focus on the substances that contributed to the ignition of the fire.
