In an alarmingly cinematic street battle in Udupi, Karnataka, police have apprehended five individuals. Three suspects were captured following the virality of the gang conflict on social media, while another three were seized on Sunday.

Police identified the recently arrested suspects as Majid, Alfaz, and Sharif. These men are alleged members of the notorious 'Garuda Gang.' Previously, on May 24th, three other affiliates, Aashiq, Raquib, and Saqlain, were detained.

A ghastly episode emerged when a suspect named Sharif was brutally mowed down by a car driven by a rival gang member. He was rushed to a local hospital for treatment and, once released, taken into police custody. The chilling video of this incident has spread widely across social media.

The viral video showcases a white car flipping and crashing into a brown vehicle before speeding away, with one person wielding a sword in hot pursuit. This individual, now known to be Sharif, was then struck by the car and critically injured.

A police spokesperson reported that the strife was rooted in a real estate dispute between the gangs. A brutal altercation erupted, leading to a life-threatening assault. The video documentation of the street fight prompted police into action. The weapons and cars used in the brawl have been confiscated.

Even Karnataka's BJP shared the incident video from their account, captioning it as 'The Karnataka Model!' and listing a litany of crimes including bombings, substance abuse, and lawlessness, blaming the current administration for the unchecked violence and chaos.
