The slogan 'Divide and Be Cut' coined by UP's Chief Minister Yogi is gaining traction in Maharashtra. Following the Lok Sabha elections, Congress has promised to conduct a caste census and raise reservation limits beyond 50 percent in assembly polls. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath are continuously attacking politics based on caste votes. Today, PM Modi coined the slogan 'United We Stay Safe,' while Adityanath persistently chants 'Divide and Be Cut' and 'Stay United, Stay Honest,' triggering strong responses from opposition parties.

What did Ajit Pawar Say?

Maharashtra's Deputy CM Ajit Pawar questioned Yogi Adityanath's 'Divide and Be Cut' slogan, emphasizing Maharashtra's legacy of Shivaji, Ambedkar, and Shahu Ji Maharaj. Pawar noted outsiders bring such ideas to Maharashtra. He mentioned that although they work together within the NDA coalition, their ideologies are distinct, operating under a common minimum program for the country's progress. Pawar asserted that Maharashtra thrives on the principles of Shiv, Shahu, and Phule, contrasting with other states. BJP CMs from other states should choose their words wisely.

Sanjay Raut Critiques Modi’s Strategy

UBT MP Sanjay Raut sharply criticized Prime Minister Modi's adoption of the 'Divide and Be Cut' slogan. He questioned Modi's reasoning for such divisive language. Not stopping there, Raut highlighted the new 'United We Stay Safe' slogan, indicating insecurity introduced by Modi’s presence in Maharashtra, accusing him of attempting to incite communal tensions. To enhance Maharashtra's safety, Raut suggests eliminating BJP's influence.

NCP’s Stance Against BJP’s Slogans

Rohit Pawar from NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) commented on BJP's slogan, criticizing it for lacking relevance. He recognized Maharashtra as a spiritually inclined state, rejecting divisive rhetoric. Pawar predicted BJP's strategy would fail, accusing them of attempting polarization out of desperation.
