Former US President Donald Trump stated that in response to recent missile attacks by the Islamic Republic, Israel should focus on targeting Iran's nuclear facilities. This comment came after President Joe Biden asserted that, despite rising tensions between Israel and Iran, a 'full-scale war' in the Middle East is unlikely and should be prevented.

Trump was referring to a question posed to President Biden, regarding the likelihood of Israel targeting Iran's nuclear sites in response to an attack involving 200 missiles. Amid rising tensions, senior officials from the US State Department confirmed that Israel has not assured the Biden administration that it would refrain from targeting Iran's nuclear facilities.

Trump Criticizes Biden

Trump remarked, "When asked, what are your thoughts on Iran? Would you strike Iran? And he said, not unless they attack nuclear weapons... That’s the very thing you should be striking, isn't it?

Republican candidate Trump, for the upcoming November 5 US elections, stated that Biden should have instructed Israel to attack Iran's nuclear sites, leaving other concerns for later. Trump added, "If they are going to do it, they will. But we will uncover their plans."

Biden's Statement

The comment from the 78-year-old Trump followed a statement by President Biden the previous day, who expressed that a 'full-scale war' in the Middle East is improbable.

When questioned about the risk of a significant war due to efforts by Lebanon and Iran to encircle Israel, Biden responded, "How confident are you that it won't rain? Look, I don’t foresee a full-scale war. I think we can prevent it."

When asked if he would send American troops to aid Israel, he replied, "We have already supported Israel. We are committed to its defense."
