Security is extremely tight at Washington DC's Capitol Hill. Barricades were erected a day in advance. Even though police presence is significant throughout DC, Capitol Hill is particularly well-guarded. Ordinarily, anyone can visit the Capitol Hill building, but it is currently closed to outside visitors. Security personnel are constantly patrolling the area.
