The United States is buzzing with intense statements and tensions as the presidential election approaches. Ahead of the first debate between Republican candidate Donald Trump and Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, a lively debate has already ensued on social media. Both candidates prefer different television channels and dates for the debates. Kamala Harris wants to debate on ABC News on September 10, while Trump prefers FOX News on September 4. As a result, accusations are flying between the two camps. The U.S. presidential election is set for November 5 this year.

What Donald Trump Said

Late on Friday, Trump posted on Truth Social media, stating that the rules will be the same as his first debate with President Joe Biden. Trump plans to appear on FOX News in Pennsylvania on September 4. He mentioned that if Harris does not agree to the new network and date, he will hold a town hall with FOX News. The second debate with Biden had initially been scheduled for September 10 on FOX News, but Trump wants the debate to move to September 4 on FOX.

Meanwhile, Kamala Harris prefers ABC over FOX News but maintains the originally planned date of September 10. The atmosphere against Biden within the party began right after the first debate between Biden and Trump, as Biden appeared shaky and weaker compared to Trump.

Different Camps of TV Networks

It is alleged that American news networks are divided into camps supporting different parties. FOX News is considered to have a conservative bias, while ABC is seen as leaning Democratic. Kamala accuses Trump of wanting to debate on FOX News to gain an advantage.

After Biden withdrew his candidacy, Kamala Harris has become the presidential candidate with significant support from the party. However, many surveys indicate that Trump has an edge, especially after the recent attacks against him have swayed public sentiment in his favor. Yet, Kamala Harris is confident she will defeat Trump.
