Threat to CM Yogi's Life, Message Sent to Dial 112

A threat has been made against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's life. The perpetrator sent a message to Dial 112 threatening to kill CM Yogi. The police have registered a case regarding this matter. All agencies, including UP ATS, have been notified.

According to the FIR, a threatening message was received at the UP-112 headquarters' social media WhatsApp desk at 8:22 PM on 23rd April. The message was sent from the number XXXXXX0148 and declared, "Yogi cm ko mar duga jald hi." Following the threat to CM Yogi's life, investigative agencies are on high alert.

Increased Security After Atiq Murder Incident

Security for CM Yogi had been heightened after the murder of Atiq and Ashraf in Prayagraj on the night of April 15. Entry to and from the Chief Minister's residence was strictly controlled. CM Yogi remained at 5, Kalidas Marg throughout the day. Additionally, his security outside of UP has been fortified. He has been appointed as BJP's star campaigner for the Karnataka elections. He currently benefits from Z-plus security, which has now been further enhanced.

Previous Threats Received

In the past, Yogi Adityanath also received a threat on his life in April last year, leading to Sarfaraz being arrested by the Lucknow cyber cell from Mewat, Rajasthan. Sarfaraz had also sent a threatening message to Dial 112's WhatsApp. A case was registered on 2nd August at Lucknow's Sushant Golf City Police Station regarding this incident.

Bomb Threat Previously Issued

CM Yogi had previously received a bomb threat. A threatening letter was discovered in a bag at the house of Devendra Tiwari in Lucknow's Alambagh area. The letter threatened to bomb both CM Yogi and Devendra Tiwari. Devendra had filed a PIL in court against illegal slaughterhouses, prompting this threat. The letter discovered at Devendra's house stated that they would bomb both CM Yogi and Devendra as they had beheaded others.
