Telangana BJP MLA T Raja Singh, known as Tiger Raja, has announced his resignation from the party. Famous for his controversial remarks, Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh declared his decision amidst a leadership conflict within the BJP in the state. Sharing a copy of his resignation, Raja Singh wrote in the caption, 'Silence by many should not be mistaken for consent. I speak not just for myself but for the countless supporters and voters who placed their faith in us and now feel disheartened. Jai Shri Ram.'

A few days ago, the Goshamahal legislator released a video message appealing to the BJP leadership to appoint him as the state president. He claimed many party workers expressed their desire to see him in that role. He emphasized that he sought an opportunity from the party high command to serve in this position. Outlining his plans if appointed, Raja Singh promised to establish a dedicated cow protection wing within the party and to stand as a shield for work done in cow protection. He vowed to spread the party's message to every household and establish its identity as a Hindutva organization.

N. Ramchander Rao Likely to be the New Telangana BJP President

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is likely to appoint its senior leader, N. Ramchander Rao, as the new president of its Telangana unit, party sources revealed on Monday. It is believed that the central leadership has approved Rao's name for the role. High Court advocate and former Legislative Council member (MLC) N. Ramchander Rao is expected to file his nomination today. Once the central leadership signaled its choice, there was little chance of another contender stepping forward. Although Union Minister Bandi Sanjay and BJP MPs Etela Rajender and Arvind Dharmapuri were considered strong contenders, it seems the central leadership preferred the loyal and controversy-free Ramchander Rao. He was active in the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, and the legal cell of the BJP. He is likely to be elected unopposed as the Telangana BJP president on Tuesday.

Raja Singh Claims Personal Interests Overshadowed Party Interests in Telangana

Reportedly disillusioned, T Raja Singh decided to step down from the party. In his resignation addressed to the current Telangana BJP chief, G Kishan Reddy, Raja Singh said the decision reflects a betrayal of millions of party workers who stood with it through thick and thin. He wrote, 'This decision is not just a setback to me but also to millions of supporters, leaders, and voters who backed the BJP. Telangana was prepared for the first BJP-led government, but the wrong leadership choice has jeopardized that.' He accused that the leadership imposed was orchestrated by 'behind-the-scenes operators' prioritizing personal interests over party interests in Telangana. He stated, 'I cannot stay silent or pretend everything is fine.'

Raja Singh Desired to Lead Telangana BJP

In his resignation, Raja Singh clarified that while he is parting ways with the BJP, his commitment to Hindutva ideology and serving the religion remains unchanged. He stated, 'I will continue to raise my voice and stand even more strongly with the Hindu community.' Calling the decision difficult but necessary, he added, 'Silence by many should not be misconstrued as agreement. I speak not just for myself but for countless supporters and voters who feel disappointed today.' Earlier, appealing to the central leadership for his appointment as the Telangana BJP president, T Raja Singh said in a video message, 'The Telangana BJP is ready, but the right leadership must be selected to honor this opportunity and not let it slip away.'
