India's T20 World Cup 2026 Schedule:
The ICC revealed the schedule for the T20 World Cup 2026 on Tuesday, November 24. Set to kick off on February 7, the tournament will last until March 8, co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka. The announcement was made by ICC Chairman Jay Shah in the presence of former Indian captain Rohit Sharma, current T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav, and women's team captain Harmanpreet Kaur.
Three matches will mark the tournament's opening on February 7. Pakistan faces the Netherlands, Bangladesh takes on Italy, and India battles the USA. The first semifinal is slated for March 4 in Kolkata/Colombo, with the second on March 5 in Mumbai. The thrilling final will be played on March 8 in Ahmedabad or Colombo, covering a total of 40 group matches among 55 games.

In terms of venue selection, two venues are kept for the semifinals and finals. This strategic decision ensures Pakistan may play their games in Sri Lanka if they reach these stages, ensuring a seamless experience.
For the T20 World Cup 2026, India has selected five venues: Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Ahmedabad, and Mumbai. In Sri Lanka, matches will be held at Colombo’s R. Premadasa Stadium and the Sinhalese Sports Club, alongside Kandy’s Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.

When are India’s T20 World Cup Matches?

The 40 group stage matches span from February 7 to 20, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the Super-8 round starting February 21. The top four at the Super-8 end will qualify for the knockout stage. Semifinal clashes unfold in Kolkata/Colombo and Mumbai, with the grand final on March 8 in Ahmedabad/Colombo.
