A meeting of the INDIA bloc was held on Tuesday to call for a special parliamentary session on Operation Sindoor. Sixteen opposition parties attended this meeting and emphasized the necessity of this session. They have penned a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the issue.
These political groups include the Congress, Samajwadi Party, All India Trinamool Congress, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray), Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), National Congress (NC), CPIM, IUML, CPI, Revolutionary Socialist Party, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), Kerala Congress, Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK), and CPI (ML).
Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi Party plans to write a separate letter to PM Modi on this issue. After the Pahalgam incident, Congress and opposition parties supported military action against Pakistan and the government. We insisted on a special session post the ceasefire declaration.
Samajwadi Party MP Ramgopal Yadav remarked that the government is briefing about Operation Sindoor globally, yet it hasn't briefed Parliament.
Shiv Sena (Uddhav) party MP Sanjay Raut expressed that a letter has been sent to PM Modi urging for a special parliamentary session to ensure a thorough discussion. If PM Modi can halt conflicts at the behest of America, why can't he convene a session at the opposition's request? Should we ask Trump to call for a parliamentary session?
