In the Sultanpur robbery case, the police have arrested five suspects so far. Mangesh Yadav, who was involved in the robbery, was killed in an encounter. Following Mangesh, the police arrested another suspect, Ajay Yadav, who was shot in the leg on Saturday. Amidst this, SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav has raised questions again about the encounters.
Akhilesh Yadav remarked that the target of the encounter always seems to be the legs ... a large number of these cases involve leg injuries ... this is being labelled as a half-encounter ... these are all fake encounters ... NCRB data shows that Uttar Pradesh has the highest number of women feeling unsafe ... Have these encounters made our mothers and sisters any safer? All fake encounters will surely be investigated.
