A harrowing incident, sullying the sanctity of familial bonds, has emerged from the Chhindwara district. In the Chand police station area, a son has brutally beaten his elderly father to death with sticks due to the father's physical weakness causing messes in the home. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, the police apprehended the son.
This chilling event unfolded in the village of Rampuri Davajhir on Monday evening. The accused, Jaising Inwati, was exasperated with his father, Shankar Inwati, due to the mess created by his aging condition.
Around 4 PM on Monday, as the elderly Shankar Inwati sat near the backyard, Jaising approached, berating his father for causing trouble with the mess. He first slapped his father, then grabbed a nearby stick, unleashing a relentless attack.
As the blows rained down, the elderly father succumbed on the spot. In fear, Jaising and his wife, Sakarwati, moved the body indoors and covered it with a sheet.
When the elderly man's wife, Lachcho Bai, learned of the assault around 8 PM, she arrived with their older daughter-in-law. Seeing her husband lifeless and bloodied, she alerted the police.
Upon receiving the report, Chand police arrived at the scene. The middle daughter-in-law, Sakarwati, revealed the disturbing truth about her husband Jaising's ruthless act before the police.
The police took Jaising Inwati into custody and registered a case of murder against him.
