Shirsat told India Today TV: "I had just returned from a trip. I took off my clothes and sat in my bedroom. My pet dog was with me, someone might have shot the video at that time. I do not know about the money. If I had such money, I would have put it in a closet. We do not have any Matoshree (Uddhav Thackeray's residence). Someone must have filmed the video, intending to weave a narrative."
This video surfaced just a day after the Income Tax Department issued a notice to Aurangabad (West) MLA Shirsat. Shirsat mentioned he would soon clarify his position before the central agency.
According to news agency PTI, Shirsat stated: "Some individuals had complained, and the Income Tax Department took note of it. We requested time to respond to the notice and will clarify our stance." He further added, "Some individuals have a problem with me, but I will address them. The system is doing its job, and I have no issue with it. I'm not under any pressure."
