On a Saturday evening in Uttar Pradesh's Shahjahanpur district, a young couple sitting at a pizza shop on the second floor leaped from the building's window. This incident occurred near Bareilly Mod in Kant police station jurisdiction, where the pizza shop is located on the second floor. According to police sources, members from an unspecified Hindu organization approached and began questioning the 21-year-old man and 19-year-old woman sitting together.
Noodles Order and the Caste Question
The duo mentioned they were waiting for their instant noodles order when they were suddenly asked about their caste. The couple identified themselves as Hindus. Following this, as per police sources, individuals began filming them, which caused the couple to panic.
Leap from the Second Floor
In a state of panic, the man removed the window grill and jumped from the second floor, followed by the woman. Both suffered serious injuries. The injured couple is currently admitted to a private hospital where they are receiving treatment.
Police Engage in Investigation
SP Rajesh Dwivedi noted that upon receiving information, the police arrived at the scene and are currently investigating the matter. No official complaint has been lodged thus far. He assured that strict action would be taken once a complaint is received.
