Body language speaks volumes, they say. Be it ordinary individuals or world leaders, their demeanor is always under scrutiny.
At the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit, where global leaders and heads of state converge, discussions revolve not only around speeches but also the intriguing body language of attendees.
Amid this, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's video has created a buzz on social media. While other leaders appeared composed and maintained the decorum of their office, Sharif's demeanor became fodder for online trolls.

'Behaving Like a Begging Leader'
The viral clip led to trolls mocking Sharif. One user noted that while other leaders stayed calm, Sharif ran for publicity. Another remarked on his begging demeanor, pointing out that both Putin and Xi ignored him.
The citizens of Pakistan also expressed displeasure over Sharif's behavior, with many saying he should remember he's representing a nation, and such antics tarnish Pakistan's dignity. Some stated that Pakistan has developed a habit of 'begging on every platform'. Memes emerged, with one Pakistani commenting on maintaining some respect.
Some likened Shehbaz Sharif to a waiter.
Others dressed Pakistan's PM in ill-fitting attire.
Some painted Shehbaz Sharif's condition vividly.
Body Language Drew Focus
Particular mockery was directed at Sharif's body language. His hastiness and eagerness to shake hands came across as attention-seeking.
Many observed that Sharif's body language seemed akin to a person overcome with debt, forgetting self-respect.
Commentary suggested that the growing closeness between India, China, and Russia left the Prime Minister of Pakistan visibly flustered, evident in his body language.
It wasn't the first time Sharif was trolled. Previously, in 2022 at the SCO Summit in Uzbekistan, a video of him went viral.

During a bilateral meeting with Vladimir Putin, Sharif repeatedly struggled with the translation headset. Just as discussions were to commence, the headset slipped, causing a chuckle from Putin. Despite assistance, the device continued to fall, delaying the meeting's proper start as Sharif wrestled with the situation.
