Bhole Baba's erstwhile humble abode has now transformed into an opulent villa in Agra. Devotees visit daily, paying homage just outside the premises, vocalizing their chants in his glory. During his time here, Surajpal started conducting spiritual discourses, gradually amassing followers and establishing ashrams far and wide.

Former Policeman Turned Spiritual Guide

Known commonly as Bhole Baba, Suraj Pal hails from Bahadur Nagar in Kasganj district of Uttar Pradesh. He resigned from the police force in the late 1990s and began his journey as a spiritual preacher.

As 'Satsang' (spiritual discourse) commenced, so burgeoned the legion of followers. Surajpal, alias Sakar Vishwa Hari or Bhole Baba, is undeterred by the fact that he has no progeny. He originates from the Scheduled Caste (SC) community. His rise to fame among the impoverished and marginalized segments led to millions of devoted followers.

Suraj Pal's ancestral home is in Agra, which is where his spiritual teachings began. In Kedar Nagar Colony, where Suraj Pal resided 25 years ago, a local shares that post his resignation from the police in 1999 or 2000, he started his new life there. He connected with the Nirankari mission and embarked on assembling his devotees.

In Kedar Nagar, there were two dilapidated rooms in the house, which were in a pitiful state during the pandemic. The disciples later renovated it, and now it gleams, becoming a beacon of faith for many who arrive daily to bow their heads at the hallowed home. A local resided there when Bhole Baba did too, mentioning Baba's unique practice of milk baths, followed by sharing the milk as prasad amongst all.

The Veil of Secrecy...

Several curious revelations surround Baba, Suraj Pal, also known as Narayan Sakar Hari or Bhole Baba. He has a private 'Pink Army' and is guarded by a contingent of female commandos termed 'Black Cats.' While there are ashrams in places like Mainpuri in Uttar Pradesh, strict security protocols are in place denying video recording privileges during Satsang, adding layers of mystery as to why the security around Baba is so impermeable? With no CCTV cameras and restrictions on mobile phone usage within the ashram, what could be the causes for such enigmatic secrecy?
