AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh walks free after six months of incarceration
associated with the infamous liquor scandal. Fresh out of jail, he addresses a throng of party workers. On release, he first visits Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s wife Sunita Kejriwal. Afterward, he meets with Seema Sisodia, wife of former Deputy Chief Minister and AAP leader Manish Sisodia.
Following the Supreme Court’s grant of bail pertaining to the Delhi liquor scandal's money laundering case on Tuesday, Singh enjoyed release from Tihar Jail on a Wednesday evening. Post-release, he speaks to AAP supporters and then seeks blessings from CM Kejriwal's wife, Sunita, by respectfully touching her feet; she warmly embraces him. His family, wife Anita Singh and daughter Ishita, accompanies him during these heartfelt encounters.
Connection with Seema Sisodia Established
Subsequently, Singh proceeds to meet with Seema Sisodia, the wife of AAP leader Manish Sisodia, also implicated in the liquor scandal. He then makes his way to his residence at North Avenue.
Addressing the activists, Singh claims a time of struggle instead of celebration, expressing resolve that the imprisonment of leaders like Kejriwal and Sisodia will be overcome and all will be freed.
Sanjay Singh's Bail Predicated on These Five Conditions
Sanjay Singh shall not leave Delhi-NCR. If necessary, advance notice must be given to the administration. Travel plans are to be shared with the Investigating Officer (IO) along with live location sharing.
An essential part of his bail condition is to abstain from discussing or commenting on the liquor scandal or his role in it in the media or publicly.
The Court has instructed Singh to surrender his passport.
He is enjoined to cooperate with the investigation by providing his mobile number to the IO.
