The Samajwadi Party previously announced seven names in its fourth list, including candidates for Bijnor, Nagina, Meerut, Aligarh, Hathras, and Lalgunj.

In their third candidate revelation, the party confirmed five names. Strategic choices were made with candidates positioned in seats like Badaun, Kairana, and Bareilly. Badaun saw a candidate swap as the party nominated Shivpal Yadav in the stead of Dharmendra Yadav, who was initially slated in the first list.

The first list showcased 16 diverse candidates

The Samajwadi Party's inaugural list unveiled 16 candidates, including prominent leaders such as Dimple Yadav, Dharmendra Yadav, and Akshay Yadav. Reflecting inclusivity, the list featured 11 OBC candidates, a Muslim, a Dalit, a Thakur, a Tandon, and a Khatri representative. The OBC cohort included 4 Kurmis, 3 Yadavs, 2 Shakya, 1 Nishad, and 1 Pal community member. The Samajwadi Party also broke new ground by appointing a Dalit candidate from the Pasi community for the Ayodhya Lok Sabha (general seat). For the first time in Etah and Farrukhabad, the party shifted from the Yadav to the Shakya brotherhood.

Second list opens doors for new prospects

Eleven candidates found their opportunity in the party's second list. Harendra Malik from Muzaffarnagar and Afzal Ansari, brother of Mukhtar Ansari from Ghazipur, were among the noteworthy allotments. Other locales like Hardoi, Mishrikh, Shahjahanpur, Mohanlalganj, Bahraich, Gonda, Pratapgarh, Chandauli, and Aonla each saw a fresh face presented by Samajwadi Party.
