Following a shooting incident at Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s residence, nefarious elements continue to cause disquiet. On Friday, a cab booked under the infamous gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s name arrived at Galaxy Apartments sparking tumult. Galaxy Apartments’ security was quick to inform the police who detained the cab driver and traced the booking to a person from Uttar Pradesh, who was subsequently arrested.
Lawrence Bishnoi’s Name Surfaced Again
The incident has put Mumbai police on high alert. A student is said to be behind the caper, booked from Ghaziabad, UP. The police nabbed the 20-year-old suspect after tracing the online cab booking.
Gangster-Linked Cab Booking Triggers Alarm
The young man had booked an Ola cab under Lawrence Bishnoi's name, intending to travel from Salman Khan's home to a nearby police station. The cab driver’s arrival at Galaxy Apartments left the security guard stunned and prompted an immediate call to the Bandra police.
Cab Booked from Ghaziabad, UP
The police were surprised to discover the suspect hailed from Ghaziabad, not Mumbai. Identifying the suspect as 20-year-old Rohit Tyagi, a student, police detained him for questioning.
Ghaziabad Resident Arrested
During interrogation, the youth claimed the act was a prank. However, it landed him behind bars. Bandra police have formally charged and apprehended Rohit Tyagi from Ghaziabad and have since brought him to Mumbai for legal proceedings.

Recalling the Attack on Salman's Residence
It is worth reminding that on the morning of April 14, two bikers fired shots at Galaxy Apartments. They fired five rounds, three missed, one hit an exterior wall, and another pierced a window, narrowly missing the Khan family who were asleep inside at the time.
Security Enhanced Post-Attack
After realizing the gravity of the incident, the police were quick to respond, ramping up security around Galaxy Apartments. They began scouring CCTVs for the attackers who fled to different locations before disappearing.
Both Shooters Apprehended from Bhuj, Gujarat
Mumbai police didn't take the matter lightly and with the help of CCTV footage, they were able to trace the shooters’ escape route and make two arrests in Bhuj, Gujarat.
Police Statement Released
The Bhuj police announced the arrest of Lawrence Bishnoi gang members, who were involved in the shooting outside Salman Khan’s residence. The arrested suspects were identified as originating from Bihar.
Attackers Conducted Reconnaissance for a Month
Investigations revealed the attack was premeditated, with the attackers having conducted detailed reconnaissance of Galaxy Apartments prior to carrying out the shooting.
