Political tensions escalate following RSS leader Indresh Kumar's critical remarks on BJP and the Indian Bloc. The Minister of Bihar and BJP leader Nitin Nabin responded, emphasizing that the BJP never associated Lord Ram's name with politics but worked to preserve the nation's cultural heritage. 'I won't comment much on Indresh Kumar's reference, but we have worked to establish our cultural legacy,' said Nabin.
Previously, JDU, an ally of the NDA in Bihar, reacted. JDU leader Khalid Anwar remarked, 'RSS shouldn't issue such statements. Indresh Kumar, a senior leader of RSS, was once accused of terrorism and train blasts. He was exonerated when BJP came to power. They shouldn't make such statements. If BJP is in a bad state, it will introspect; it's not RSS's concern.'
Why were claims of BJP arrogance not raised before elections?
Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Pramod Tiwari jibed at the BJP, questioning the timing of Indresh Kumar's remarks. 'Why weren't these accusations of BJP arrogance made prior to the elections?' asked Tiwari, suggesting a disjunction in RSS's oversight over its affiliate BJP.
What exactly did RSS leader Indresh Kumar say...
Indresh Kumar accused the ruling BJP of arrogance and called the opposition Indian Bloc 'anti-Ram.' 'Lord Ram is synonymous with justice. Observe the Lok Sabha elections in 2024. Those who worshipped Ram became gradually arrogant, and they were curbed by divine will due to their hubris,' Kumar asserted.
He continued, 'Democracy in India is envisioned to emulate the 'Ram Rajya'. The party that became arrogant despite worshiping Ram emerged as the largest party but was restrained by divine will from attaining ultimate power.'
True 'servants' do not possess arrogance...
Before Kumar, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat had also made headlines. Bhagwat stated, 'A true servant acts within boundaries, performing deeds without ego and without claiming 'I did this.' Only such a person is worthy of being called a true servant.'
