The NEET paper leak controversy continues to escalate, with connections to Bihar becoming increasingly apparent, sparking a political showdown. BJP and RJD are now at odds over the NEET leak case. Bihar's Deputy CM Vijay Sinha claims that Tejashwi Yadav's PA Pritam booked a room for mastermind Sikandar in the NEET paper leak case.
Bihar's Deputy CM Raises Questions
Vijay Sinha held a press conference on the NEET and "Minister NH" connection, stating 'I have ordered an internal investigation into the matter. According to my findings, on May 1, Tejashwi's PA Pritam Kumar had summoned RCD employee Pradeep to book a room in the state government's Road Construction Department (NH) inspection guest house for Sikandar Kumar. He further added that guest house rules only permit booking a maximum of three rooms for three days. Anything beyond that requires permission from NH officials. CBI questioning of Pritam Kumar and Tejashwi will clarify who's involved in the paper leak.'
The Link between Pritam and Sikandar Yadav
The Deputy CM stated that, in Bihar, ministers and their staff are often addressed as 'Minister', even after their tenure. Similarly, 'Minister' was used by Pritam to make the booking. Vijay Sinha is suggesting a connection between Pritam and Sikandar Yadav. The room booked by Pritam supposedly for 'Minister' was actually done so using Tejashwi's name. Respect for merit should be upheld, the government is alert, but who are these individuals tarnishing the systems and the entire state of Bihar? Once the full investigation report is out, no one will be spared.
RJD Responds to Vijay Sinha's Accusations
In response to Vijay Sinha's accusations, RJD's leader Manoj Jha commented that the bleak futures of 25 million NEET-affected students are not a matter of concern for them. The discussion about who booked the guest house ensues. For them, the guest house is a matter of concern. A fabricated story has been spun around the guest house. False narratives are being crafted. There's an attempt to protect the big players and their network in NEET.
Attack on Dharmendra Pradhan
RJD MP stated that Dharmendra Pradhan first gives a clean chit and then pretends there are irregularities. What happened in Gujarat? In Haryana, a BJP minister's school has 6 students on the top rank list, so there's nationwide uproar over NEET. In such a scenario, the Union Education Minister should resign, NTA should be disbanded, but who booked the guest house in Bihar? Millions of students are not a concern. You are crafting lies to protect the accused. I want to say that this entire narrative was staged, involving a conspiracy to defame a government employee over the futures of 25 million students involved in NEET, turning it into a false story about a guest house.
Personal Secretary Booked Government Guest House
Note that Tejashwi Yadav's private secretary Pritam Yadav's role in the NEET paper leak case has also come under scrutiny. The gang that disrupted the examination and the students were staying in a government guest house in Patna, booked by Tejashwi Yadav's secretary one day before the NEET exam. This was confirmed by the guest house staff member who revealed that the rooms were indeed booked by Pritam.
Dharmendra Pradhan's Statement
Meanwhile, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, in a special interview with Aaj Tak, said that the NEET exam held on May 5 revealed two issues: irregularities at certain locations and student unrest due to insufficient time provided. Students went to court over these matters, and the court issued recommendations thereafter. Following that, the NTA devised a scheme including a grace marking system. Students returned to court again, prompting government intervention. When questioned about giving NTA a clean chit, the Education Minister admitted his mistake, saying he had joined after the elections and was unaware of any irregularities at that time.
