The recent uproar around the Rajya Sabha elections has led to palpable excitement as voting commences in Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, and Karnataka for 15 coveted seats. Amid speculations of cross-voting, Uttar Pradesh is thrust into a political whirlwind with the suspense concerning the votes of 8 Samajwadi Party legislators.

Voting has kicked off for the Rajya Sabha elections, which will continue till 4 PM followed by the counting of votes starting at 5 PM, with results expected by the night. Notably, of the 56 vacant seats in the Rajya Sabha across 15 states, 41 candidates from 12 states have already been elected unopposed.
