In the village of Kiratpura, Kotputli, Rajasthan, a relentless rescue operation is underway for 67 hours to save three-year-old Chaitanya, who fell into a borewell. The NDRF and SDRF teams initially attempted to retrieve the child using Plan A, employing the umbrella technique to hook and rescue her. Unfortunately, Plan A has yet to yield success.

The teams are vigorously pursuing Plan B, in which a borehole is drilled parallel to the existing one using a piling machine. Large iron pipes are being inserted, and the intent is to create a rat-hole tunnel to reach Chaitanya. As of this morning, the piling machine had reached around 140 feet, but a rocky layer necessitated a machine change, halting work for about 2 hours. The machine is now redeployed slightly farther to proceed with the excavation.

Returning from leave, Kotputli's Collector, Kalpana Agarwal, arrived on the scene late at night to oversee the rescue operation. She returned at 5 a.m., accompanied by the Superintendent of Police, who maintained supervision at the site.

The District Collector emphasized that every possible effort is being made for the rescue operation, with the primary goal being the prompt retrieval of the child. Despite 67 long hours having passed, the lack of success continues to frustrate both villagers and Chaitanya's family.
