In the Kishanganj area of Rajasthan's Ajmer district, the police have arrested a young man accused of following gangster Lawrence Bishnoi on social media and posting their photo together. This arrest was made under a special police surveillance operation. The accused admitted that he took this step to instill fear among friends and gain more followers on social media.
Inspector Arvind Charan stated that per the SP's instructions, close attention is being paid to all active social media accounts. During this operation, the police discovered a social media account where a 19-year-old man, Kansinh alias Dilkhush, had posted a picture with Lawrence Bishnoi.
Arrest of Lawrence Bishnoi Follower
A team was immediately organized to apprehend the youth. During questioning, he confessed to the police that he regarded Lawrence Bishnoi as an idol and shared the photo to instill fear among his peers.
Notably, Rajasthan Police has been maintaining a keen watch on social media as part of an ongoing campaign. They believe several other gangsters manage their criminal enterprises via social media. The police are taking action against individuals who have any affiliations or who follow these gangsters online.
Action Against Bishnoi Idolizers
This incident in Ajmer is reportedly not the first of its kind. Prior, Kishanganj police had apprehended another youth, known as Deepesh alias Dipsha, who also idolized Lawrence. He followed several pages dedicated to Lawrence Bishnoi on social media.
