The electoral heat is on, and everyone is determined to rally support for their favorite politicians in unique ways. Among them is Rajalakshmi Manda from South India, who embarked on an epic 21,000 kilometer journey on her Bullet bike to spread voting awareness across the nation. She has already traversed over 18,000 kilometers.

Rajalakshmi, a die-hard fan of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, set off from Tamil Nadu on her Bullet. Upon reaching Delhi, she plans to culminate her patriotic crusade, voting for the nation with the slogan 'Vote for Modi' in her quest to see Modi secure a third term as PM.

She narrated her encounter with PM Modi during a bike journey in 2019, where she asked two fundamental questions: 'What does the public think, and what do they need?' This set the wheels in motion for her current mission. Rajalakshmi Manda has observed rural areas idolizing Modi as a reincarnation of Krishna and Ram throughout her travels.

Post-abrogation of Article 370, she continued her bike journey, which now marks 18,000 kilometers complete. The journey began in Tamil Nadu, voyaging through Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana, Odisha, Jharkhand, and Bihar. Currently, she has reached Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, where the final leg of her journey will conclude. She covers roughly 300 kilometers daily.

Empowerment isn't enough, awakening is necessary for women

Rajalakshmi shared that she is the first woman in India to pull a nine-and-a-half-ton truck. She accomplished this feat with a belt strapped around her waist, earning her a spot in the Guinness World Records. She believes that for a robust democracy, it is crucial for Modi to become PM for the third time.

'Women are already powerful; what’s needed is their awakening, not empowerment. If women resolve to do something, they can achieve anything; the power lies within them. I am on this journey to awaken people to vote. Travelling throughout the nation on my Bullet, I aim to stir the spirit of democracy,' says Rajalakshmi.
