In an exclusive conversation with Aaj Tak, Neeraj Singh, son of Home Minister Rajnath Singh and a promising BJP leader, refuted the ongoing Rajput opposition in Western Uttar Pradesh as a conspiracy by the opposition. Singh confidently stated that this opposition will not stand grounds, condemning it as mere opposition propaganda lacking true grassroots support.
Addressing the anger over the alleged suppression of Rajput leadership, Singh pointed out that the Defense Minister's post is held by someone from their community. Similarly, the Chief Minister position of Uttar Pradesh is also occupied by a Rajput. He clarified that despite these significant leadership roles, they never indulge in caste-based politics. Both the public and the fraternity are wise, he asserts, fully aware of the plot being fabricated, affirming that they won't let it succeed.
Defending against charges of family favoritism, Neeraj Singh argued that real nepotism is expecting high-ranking posts like Prime Minister or President from birth, not working through different organizational levels for years and eventually leading a party. He emphasized the dedication he and his father have put into the party, serving numerous roles without any personal or family gains.
Singh shares that the current rallying cry in Lucknow for Rajnath Singh is an ambitious vote margin exceeding 500,000. Singh has taken charge of his father's election management in Lucknow, campaigning vigorously, and confidently claiming that substantial developments have been made in Lucknow during his father's tenure. He cited the modernization of Lucknow, including a network of ring roads, multiple flyovers, state-of-the-art railway stations, and the inauguration of a new airport terminal. Lucknow, with its metro, now rivals major cities.
