Many Missing Amidst Difficult Rescue Operations

Help from the Air Force and NDRF has been requested. Reaching those stranded in Thaltukhod is challenging, and rescue operations will proceed with the assistance of the Air Force and NDRF. The cloudburst caused severe destruction in approximately fifteen to twenty areas adjoining Shimla and Rampur in Kullu district. Reports indicate that the cloudburst near Nain Sarovar on the Shri Khanda mountains led to severe flooding in Kurpan, Sumez, and Ganvi Khade. The overflowing streams caused devastation in Ganvi in the Shimla district and Bagipul Bazaar in the Kullu district.

Since Tuesday, relentless rain has wreaked havoc in Uttarakhand. Tehri first experienced heavy rain, followed by a cloudburst, causing the death of two people. A cloudburst on the Kedarnath route submerged a segment of the National Highway. The Kedarnath trekking route sustained significant damage. From Rambada to Lincholi, the trekking path was extensively damaged. Two bridges on the Mandakini River in Rambada were swept away. These bridges were on the old route, frequently used by travelers and mule operators as a shortcut. The bridges were engulfed by Mandakini River's strong currents during last night's rain. Furthermore, images of water devastation are emerging from Haridwar, Nainital, and Bageshwar.

The CM assured that he is issuing necessary directives to all officials. In the Jakhnyali disaster, three members of the same family have met a tragic end, and a saint is still reported missing.

Old Railway Boundary Wall Collapses in Prayagraj

Due to rain, the old railway boundary wall in Prayagraj's Rambagh area collapsed. The boundary wall collapse was captured on CCTV. The 14-foot-high wall fell, burying several vehicles. The collapse also damaged an electric pole.
