In the run-up to the Delhi Assembly elections, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi reached Seelampur, a constituency with a significant Muslim voter base. During his address, he passionately declared, 'We will conquer hatred with love.' Rahul Gandhi asserted, 'Come what may, we will defend the Constitution.' He accused RSS and BJP members of trying to dismantle it, saying, '150 wealthy individuals are running the country,' and remarked that there is 'no difference between PM Modi and Arvind Kejriwal.'
Further, Congress MP and Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi stated, 'These (BJP) people pit brother against brother. Every day, Narendra Modi and BJP attack Dr. Ambedkar’s Constitution. Our politics is crystal clear. Love will erase the hatred in this country. As long as I live, I will protect any Indian attacked for his religion or caste — be they Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, or Christian, Dalit or backward.'
Rahul Gandhi emphasized, 'Write it down, as long as I live, if any Indian is attacked — regardless of faith, whether a Muslim, Hindu, Sikh, or Christian, or of any caste — be it Dalit or backward, you will find Rahul Gandhi standing by them.'
Congress MP Rahul Gandhi criticized former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, challenging, 'Has he ever spoken against Adani? But I do so with transparency. We won't let the country run at one businessman's whim.' He further argued, 'When I speak about caste census, I hear silence from both Modi and Kejriwal. Ask Kejriwal if he supports the caste census.'
In Seelampur, Delhi, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi declared that the ideological battle continues in India, with BJP trying to incite discord among people. 'For us, everyone is equal; love will triumph over hatred.' Mentioning Mohan Bhagwat's statement, Rahul Gandhi highlighted, 'At the inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya last year, there was no discord. I condemn that statement.'

Stronghold of Congress: Seelampur Seat
Historically, the Seelampur assembly seat has been a Congress stronghold. However, recent elections have shown a shift in voter preference, with the Aam Aadmi Party and BJP emerging as key contenders. Rahul Gandhi's decision to host his first rally in Seelampur could be a strategic move to reclaim lost ground for the party.
