This Year's Format Revealed
The 2024 IPL season follows a similar structure to the 2023 season, consisting of 74 matches. Winning teams are awarded 2 points, while losing teams receive none. If a match is drawn or has no result, each team gets 1 point. The league stage ends on May 19.

Post the league stage, the playoffs will begin. The IPL 2024 playoffs are set to start on May 21st, culminating in the final on May 26th. The first Qualifier match will be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 21st, followed by the Eliminator match at the same venue on May 22nd. On May 24th, the second Qualifier will take place at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, which will also host the final on May 26th.
Qualifier-1:
Face-off between the teams placed first and second in the group stage.
Eliminator:
The third and fourth place teams from the group stage compete.
Qualifier-2:
The loser of Qualifier-1 goes up against the winner of the Eliminator.
Final:
Winners of Qualifier-1 and Qualifier-2 battle it out.
