Amid stark courtroom drama, Vishal Agarwal, businessman and father of the underage accused in the Porsche car disaster, became the target of an ink-throwing encounter in Pune. As the police were escorting Vishal to the court, activists from an organization appeared and hurled ink at him, despite tight security.

During the afternoon, when police were transporting Vishal to the sessions court, members of a certain organization intercepted and splattered ink on him. The agitators caused a commotion and attempted to halt the police van, but the police quickly took control and dispersed the crowd, allowing the van to proceed.

Pune police apprehended Vishal Agarwal on Tuesday from Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar. He's due in court today.

The Complete Incident

Recalling the tragic incident, a 17-year-old intoxicated youth plowed his Porsche into two motorcycle-borne engineers, resulting in their instantaneous deaths. The fatalities were identified as Anish Avadhia (24) and Ashwini Kosta (24), both hailing from Madhya Pradesh and employed in Pune. Following the incident, the Juvenile Justice Board released the underaged accused with conditions. To date, five individuals have been arrested, including two bar managers, the bar owner, a hotel employee, and the father of the accused, Vishal Agarwal.

Police Are Insisting on a Reform Home, Why?

Today, the underaged accused was presented before the Juvenile Justice Board. After hearing, the board has reserved its decision. Pune police argue that the nature of the crime is heinous and that the perpetrators must not be let off. A petition opposing the bail of the underage individual was also filed in the sessions court. However, the sessions court directed a review petition to the Juvenile Justice Board. Consequently, on Tuesday, police filed a review petition to the JJ Board, adding that the minor offender was given notice to appear during the hearing.

Pune police have requested in the review petition to the Juvenile Justice Board, based on Section 104 of the Juvenile Justice Act, either to send the minor to an observation home or to hold them on remand. The petition will be debated again on Wednesday. The claim by Pune police is that the adolescent should be removed from the custody of his parents, who failed to adequately supervise him. The police cited neglect under section 75 and provision of intoxicating substance or access to it under section 77 of the Juvenile Justice Act in their FIR.
