Pune Porsche Car Accident Case:

The Maharashtra government has given the go-ahead to prosecute two doctors and a staff member from Sassoon Hospital in the high-profile Pune Porsche car accident case. This information was officially communicated to a local court by the government. These individuals are accused of providing falsified examination reports about the accused.

The state government has granted permission to prosecute Dr. Ajay Taware, Dr. Shrihari Halanor, and Atul Ghatkamble of Sassoon Hospital. Allegations against them involve swapping the blood samples of a minor accused to invalidate the alcohol test results.

Special Public Prosecutor Advocate Shishir Hiray informed PTI that he relayed the government's decision to prosecute Dr. Ajay Taware, Dr. Shrihari Halanor, and Atul Ghatkamble to the court on Thursday. Advocate Shishir Hiray stated that such approval is mandatory for prosecuting governmental employees or framing charges against them. In this case, Dr. Taware, Dr. Halanor, Ghatkamble, the accused adolescent's parents, and two intermediaries are in custody.

As a reminder, earlier this year on May 19 in Pune's Kalyani Nagar area, a reportedly intoxicated 17-year-old boy driving a Porsche collided with a two-wheeler, resulting in the deaths of two IT professionals.
