Securing his position for a third successive term, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took the oath of office. At a distinguished event held at the Presidential House, he was seen clad in a blue-checked jacket, stark white kurta, and tapered pajamas. Gracing the stage in black shoes, PM Modi initiated the proceedings by respectfully bowing to the assembled audience.

In 2014, for his inaugural swearing-in, Modi opted for a cream linen kurta-pajama paired with a beige golden jacket. He continued the similar sartorial choice for the 2019 ceremony. The Prime Minister is often spotted in kurta-pajama and bandhgala jacket, a testament to his preference for classic Indian formal wear.

Under Modi's leadership, the BJP narrowly missed the majority mark. The party faced significant setbacks in Uttar Pradesh, securing only 33 seats. Independently, the BJP clinched 240 seats in this election.
