The grand finale bath of the Prayagraj Mahakumbh is set for February 26, on Mahashivratri. This has sparked a mad rush among devotees eager to take a holy dip at the confluence. As a result, massive crowds are gathering here. Before the fair concludes on February 23, it's the final weekend and on Sunday, numerous devotees thronged here for their sacred dive, despite facing traffic jams.
A Staggering 25-Kilometer Traffic Jam
Pilgrims have arrived at the Prayagraj Mahakumbh in their personal vehicles, leading to a 25-kilometer traffic jam where vehicles crawl at a snail's pace. This has caused significant inconvenience, especially for the elderly, children, and women.

The police are fully alert to ensure the convenience of the Mahakumbh visitors. IG Prem Gautam of the Prayagraj zone, SP Brijesh Kumar Srivastava, and ASP Rajesh Singh, along with a substantial police force, are stationed on the highways to regulate traffic. The police are also monitoring highways with drone cameras for traffic control and security.

The number of pilgrims who have taken a bath at Prayagraj Mahakumbh has surpassed 600 million. Highlighting the continuous influx of devotees, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath noted that the Mahakumbh 2025 has already seen more than 600 million pilgrims take a sacred dip.
