As the auspicious Mahashivratri approaches, a significant influx of pilgrims is making its way to Prayagraj Mahakumbh. Consequently, the Kanpur-Prayagraj highway in Uttar Pradesh's Kaushambi district is experiencing severe traffic pressure. Due to the continuous movement of pilgrims, a traffic jam stretching three to four kilometers from Chakvan to Kohraj has developed. Vehicles are gradually inching towards the Mahakumbh.

In response to the rising traffic pressure, the administration has waived the Kohraj toll to accelerate vehicle movement. However, this has not alleviated the highway's congestion. The administration has implemented several measures for traffic control and management, yet the overwhelming number of pilgrims presents a significant challenge.
