Chouhan further penned that upon questioning the crew about the allocation of a faulty seat, they confessed that management was previously informed about the seat's conditions and advised not to sell tickets for it. Yet, there were more such seats. Although fellow passengers urged him to switch to a better seat, Chouhan declined to inconvenience anyone else and resolved to complete his journey in the assigned seat.

Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan expressed disappointment, remarking he believed Air India's service improved under Tata's management, but realizing it was a misconception. His concern wasn't personal discomfort but the ethical issue of charging passengers fully while providing faulty and uncomfortable seating. He questioned whether this was deceitful to passengers and inquired if the management would undertake corrective steps to prevent such discomfort for future passengers, instead of exploiting their need to reach destinations quickly.

Air India has responded to Chouhan's complaint. The airline replied via their official X (Twitter) handle, stating, 'Dear Sir, we apologize for the inconvenience. We are examining this issue. Please DM us at your convenience for further assistance.'
