Central Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan used terms like 'hunter' and 'Natwarlal' to describe Aam Aadmi Party Chief Arvind Kejriwal, urging Delhi voters not to fall prey to his politics of distributing freebies.
Raising the 'Glass Palace' issue, Shivraj Singh Chouhan accused the AAP leader of constructing a mansion for himself while ignoring central benefits for the capital's farmers, despite previously pledging not to accept any public benefits.
Addressing a rally in the Mundka constituency, the former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister likened Kejriwal to a trap-setting hunter and warned people about Kejriwal's 'false promises.'
The central minister declared, "I have come to warn you not to be fooled by this trickster again. He's a master of deception, a real Natwarlal..."
Describing a hunter's tale, Chouhan said, "Kejriwal will come, offer donations, say he'll give this, weave traps. Will you fall into them? Don’t get ensnared, as his true face has been revealed."
He emphasized the need for Delhi's development under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, critiquing Kejriwal’s performance as CM by saying, "Kejriwal has proven to be a Natwarlal, making Delhi worse while enriching himself as the public suffers."
Shivraj remarked on AAP's leader claims to never own a residence, yet built a 'Glass Palace' similar to Shah Jahan's Taj Mahal with public funds. He questioned this extravagance at the expense of taxpayers.
The minister commented that a key figure in Anna Hazare's anti-corruption movement turned out the 'biggest corrupt.' He referenced Kejriwal’s jail months over Delhi excise policy issues.
BJP leader accused Kejriwal of formulating an excise policy that devastated the populace and enriched himself through scams, expressing disbelief over the farmers missing out on central plans due to inaction from Kejriwal's side. He vowed to secure farmers' rights in terms of electricity and agrarian commercial rates.
Shivraj claimed that when he exposed the lack of central benefits for farmers and penned letters, he was called names and even branded a terrorist by AAP figures.
He asked AAP openly, 'What have you done for Delhi's people and farmers?' He assured that under Modi, only BJP will fulfill all promises and improve Delhi.
Central Agriculture Minister affirmed that BJP works for public welfare, highlighting BJP’s intentions to legitimize all illegal colonies as per Modi's directives.
Shivraj emphasized, 'Farmers to get their rights, women empowerment initiatives underway, and improved free education from kindergarten to postgraduate levels in Delhi.'
He iterated, 'Kejriwal has ruined Delhi while enriching himself leaving people in despair.' "I've come to say: replace AAP, defeat AAP... Vote for BJP for Delhi's development and people's welfare."
