The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, highlighted the significance of respect towards India and its rich cultural heritage when discussing the participation of Muslims in the Prayagraj Maha Kumbh. He assured that individuals who embrace this spirit are welcome, but those arriving with divisive agendas may find it unsuitable and might experience consequences for their actions. Such sentiments affirm the importance of shared reverence, ensuring only those who genuinely honor these traditions should attend.
Responding to a query at Aaj Tak's 'Dharma Sansad', CM Yogi stated, "Those who identify as Indian, embracing the ancient traditions with pride, are well-accepted. Many have adopted different beliefs over generations, yet they still cherish India’s illustrious legacy. They participate traditionally, respecting rituals and festivals. Such individuals engaging in these customs are not only welcome but also encouraged. However, if the intention is to challenge territorial integrity, challenges await them."
