Bihar's formidable leader Pappu Yadav has merged his party with Congress. Speculations were rife that Pappu Yadav could be the candidate for Purnia Lok Sabha constituency from the INDIA block. However, when JD(U) legislator Bima Bharti joined RJD, Lalu Yadav handed her the ticket, leading to dissatisfaction from Pappu Yadav. RJD's reaction has now come forth.

RJD leader and former minister of Bihar government Lalit Yadav stated that there is no animosity regarding the Purnia seat. 'To defeat BJP, a bit of tolerance is required,' he said. Regarding the seat sharing, he mentioned that details will be revealed at the appropriate time.

Pappu Yadav wanted to contest the elections from the Purnia constituency. He fought the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from the same seat but was defeated. However, he has previously represented Purnia. Even after RJD gave the ticket to Bima Bharti, Pappu Yadav is hopeful that Congress will let him contest. He has reiterated that he would leave everything but not Purnia. The question now is, what will be Pappu Yadav and Congress's next move?
