In a notable breakthrough, the police in Auraiya, Uttar Pradesh, have apprehended two fugitives in connection with the murder of Dilip. The duo had been on the run since the gruesome act was committed. Following an intense encounter, the police managed to arrest both suspects, who were subsequently found to have gunshot wounds in their legs. Each had a bounty of 25,000 rupees on their heads. The encounter unfolded late at night when the suspects, on a motorcycle, attempted to flee upon spotting the police, and retaliated by opening fire. Currently, the injured suspects are receiving medical treatment at the local hospital.
Notably, in connection with Dilip's murder, his wife Pragati, her lover Anurag, and a hired shooter have already been taken into custody. Previously, two other individuals involved in the crime had evaded capture, prompting a dedicated police search. The events took a turn the previous night during a routine check near Shahbazpur in the Sahar police jurisdiction, where the duo appeared on a motorcycle and were halted for questioning.

The suspects, however, attempted an escape, resorting to gunfire aimed at the police. In self-defense, the police responded with gunfire, hitting both suspects in the legs. They have been identified as Shubham and Durlabh alias Pintu, both involved in Dilip's murder. Following the encounter, the police facilitated their admission to a community health center, from where they were referred to the Medical College in Auraiya. Their condition is reportedly stable.
Interestingly, the murder was orchestrated by Pragati, Dilip's wife, just 15 days post their marriage, as she desired to be with her lover Anurag. For this heinous act, a contract of two lakh rupees was allegedly placed on Dilip's life, facilitated by Anurag who hired a shooter to carry out the execution. Prior arrests in this case include Pragati, Anurag, and the shooter, Ramji Nagar, all of whom are presently incarcerated.
