Recently, the western states of the country, Gujarat and Rajasthan, experienced intense heat. However, hot winds are now moving eastward. Simultaneously, a new Western Disturbance is becoming active in the Western Himalayan region starting today (April 24). These changing weather activities have intensified the heat threat eastward, while weather changes are anticipated in the hills. Let's explore the nationwide weather condition.

Clouds to Shower on These Mountainous Areas

According to weather forecasting agency Skymet, due to the latest Western Disturbance, light to moderate rain is expected in regions like Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad. On April 24 and 25, moderate rain may occur in tourist spots such as Srinagar, Pahalgam, Rohtang Pass, Manali, Kullu, Dharamsala, Mandi, Chamba, and Shimla, as well as in Badrinath, Kedarnath, Nainital, and Mussoorie. This rain might slightly decrease the temperature.

Burning Sun and Hot Winds Here

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department predicts that during April 23-26 in eastern Madhya Pradesh, and from April 23-27 in Uttar Pradesh, Vidarbha, Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand, and the plains of West Bengal, hot winds might prevail. Similarly, from April 25-29 in Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi, and from April 23-25 in Chhattisgarh, hot winds are expected. On April 24 and 25, central Maharashtra and Marathwada are likely to experience heatwaves.

Furthermore, from April 24-25, parts of Bihar, Odisha on April 23 and 24, and the plains of West Bengal along the Ganges on April 24 and 25 are expected to have warm nights. Additionally, until April 26, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal, the coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema, and on April 24, Kerala and Mahe, and during April 24-27, the state of Gujarat are likely to experience hot and humid weather. On April 29, similar conditions may prevail in Konkan and Goa.
