After the terror strike in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, security agencies have been on high alert and are conducting search operations to apprehend the militants responsible for killing 28 individuals. In a significant breakthrough, security forces neutralized two terrorists near the Line of Control (LoC) in Baramulla. The Indian Army was able to thwart their infiltration attempt, seizing a substantial cache of weapons and other materials from the militants.
Two Militants Neutralized in Operation
During this operation, the army successfully brought down two infiltrators in the Haji Pir sector, recovering ammunition in the process. This operation, carried out at the LoC, signifies the robust security measures implemented in the region. The seized items included two assault rifles, ammunition, and various other warfare-related equipment.
Apart from the arms and ammunition, the militants were also found with cartridges, Pakistani currency, chocolate, and cigarette packets. They planned to execute a large-scale attack in Kashmir but were neutralized during their infiltration attempt.

Alert Following the Pahalgam Attack
In the aftermath of the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, widespread search operations are underway, and security agencies have released sketches of the Pahalgam attack suspects. On Monday night, Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Srinagar to review the security situation in a high-level meeting. He later visited the Baisaran Valley in Pahalgam, where terrorists had tragically killed 28 people.
Amit Shah met with those injured in the attack, providing assurances that the involved terrorists will not escape justice. Later in the evening, an important Cabinet Committee meeting on security matters, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is slated to discuss future strategies.
Commenting on the Pahalgam attack, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh stated that the entire nation stands united against this cowardly act. He assured, 'I promise the citizens that the Indian Government will take every necessary step. We will not only reach those directly involved but also those who conspire behind the scenes, orchestrating such nefarious acts on Indian soil.'
